Design
The Galaxy A54 5G has a similar design to the premium Galaxy S series: the cameras on the back of the phone are elevated, each in its own container, and it looks nicer than the previous camera island.
Because this A54 5G has a glass back, the materials feel much better than the plain plastic we had on the prior model. The phone’s mid-frame, on the other hand, is constructed of plastic.
The A54 5G also has an IP67 water and dust protection rating, which means it can withstand being submerged in up to 1 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
You have a variety of colors like White, Black, light Green, and Blue versions.
Display
Supposedly being significantly smaller, the A54’s 6.4in Super AMOLED display still has a lot going for it, with a brilliant 2,400 x 1,080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate that makes it suitable for regular use.
On the front, a fingerprint sensor lies beneath the screen. The 32MP selfie camera is housed in a tiny hole-punch notch, which is more aesthetically pleasing than the teardrop cutout used on the A34 5G.
The screen of the Galaxy A53 5G can reach 800 nits of brightness, But with Vision Booster, the A54 5G can reach 1000 nits. The A53 5G’s screen did not have any readability concerns regardless of how dark or light the setting was, but an enhancement to the display’s brightness levels is always good.
like the A53, this has a 120Hz display, which allows for smooth animations and scrolling when the Exynos 1380 CPU powering the phone isn’t fighting to keep up (more on that in the performance section below).
Finally, the A54 5G can reduce blue light output to as low as 6.5%, which is nearly a twofold improvement over the A53 5G, which can lower blue light levels to 12.5%.
However, you get an excellent sound that covers both low (bass) and high (treble) frequencies nicely while still being rather loud.
Unfortunately, you’ll need a 3.5mm to USB-C converter for conventional headphones or headphones that use a USB-C connector by default to enjoy wired music, since Samsung has opted to leave the 3.5mm port out of the spec list once again.
In addition to facial recognition and the typical pin, password, and pattern choices. The A54 5G’s biometric capabilities include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. And the fingerprint sensor performs admirably, with good accuracy and recognition speed.
Over the years, Samsung has steadily improved the fingerprint reader on its mid-range phones.It is now as excellent as it will ever be.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G has three rear cameras. A 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. The A53’s 5MP depth sensor is missing. But I won’t be crying because the 32MP sensor on the front of the smartphone handles selfies.
Overall, I’m happy with the A54 camera system. Photos with adequate lighting are crisp and have strong color and contrast. Furthermore, the primary sensor captures fine details in photographs in direct sunshine without blowing them out.
Selfies taken with the A54’s 32MP front-facing camera are shockingly sharp. I was very pleased with the front and rear cameras’ performance in portrait mode. The processing was completed promptly, and the edge detection was rather precise.
The Galaxy A54’s camera technology has a flaw when it comes to night shooting. The photographs are noisy in low light. However, with a few attempts, you can produce a reasonably good image – just don’t look too carefully for detail.
The Galaxy A54 can record video in 4K30 resolution. When it recorded almost 12 minutes of film without receiving any heat alerts from the system or experiencing any app problems.
After around six minutes, the phone became somewhat warm, but not hot enough to cause an alarm. Even at 4K30, video stabilization performed admirably

Processor
While the A53 5G was only available in one configuration, the Galaxy A54 5G has 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, both of which can be upgraded with a microSD card up to 1TB in capacity.
The internals is completed with 8GB of RAM and a Samsung Exynos 1380 CPU, which replaces the previous model’s Exynos 1280.
Gaming performance is improving as well, albeit the change isn’t as drastic.
This year’s model earned an average frame rate of 70fps in the onscreen, segment of the GFXBench Manhattan 3 benchmark, up from 57fps last year.

Battery
The A54 features the same 5,000mAh battery as last year . 25W fast charging, which charges it to full in around 80 minutes. In our tests this year, it lasted much longer, achieving 26hrs 49mins of movie playback before needing to be recharged. That’s an almost five-hour improvement from generation to generation.
Last Verdict
The A54 5G has its job cut out for it to justify the price hike properly.But I believe it comes close. The upgraded chipset not only improves performance significantly, but it also improves endurance significantly. The display is much brighter, and the primary camera is super.
