Samsung Galaxy A34 Review: Affordable and Elegant Design

Samsung Galaxy A34 Review

The mid-range category smartphone industry is already quite competitive. So, today, I’m gonna review of Samsung Galaxy A34 Smartphone which looks worthy at mid-price.

Samsung has released its new mid-range phone for this year, the Galaxy A34.

Design

Since Samsung chose to make the Galaxy A34 as similar to its flagship phones as possible, it should go without saying how stunning and clean it appears for a mid-range mobile. It has a back panel that, despite being made of plastic and somewhat bending when pressed in the center, is indisputably appealing with its matte-like appearance.

The A34’s frame is likewise constructed of plastic, but it blends in so well in terms of color and shapes that it doesn’t look cheap. Samsung has kept all sides of the phone square with a tiny curvature on the edges to make it more comfortable to grasp while keeping a sturdy grip. It also helps that the A34 is rather light for its size.

However, despite its excellent design, I found it difficult to handle the Galaxy A34 due to its sheer size. However, I am not used to extra-large phones, so I suppose it truly depends on how big your hands are. And it was a really encouraging sign that, despite the phone’s large size, I could comfortably reach and press the power button and volume rocker.

In terms of durability, Samsung has retained the previous model’s IP67 rating as well as the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen.

Samsung Galaxy A34 5G is available in 4 colors-Awesome Graphite, Awesome Lime, Awesome Silver, and Awesome Violet.

Display

One of the Galaxy A34 5G’s greatest points is its display. Given that this is what a user would be looking at and engaging with most of the time, Samsung has checked practically all of the boxes that would make the display in the A34 5G genuinely the best in class.

A 6.6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits is provided. The display is made up of a screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The display is a characteristic Samsung display featured in the company’s top-tier premium smartphone lineup – it’s vivid, contrasty, and a delight to look at. The color reproduction is fantastic, vibrant, and visually appealing. While the blacks aren’t as intense as some of the other premium display panels found in higher-end Samsung smartphones, they still go rather dark. The graphics in the games and material are as crisp as a point.

The sole shortcoming of the front display is the teardrop notch. The design is strange and old at this pricing point. Aside from that, the display is as fantastic as it gets for a mid-level smartphone.

The A34 5 G display also has various eye-protection features. For example, it has SGS Eyecare accreditation, which implies that the display emits much less blue light.

Overall, the display is an area where the A34 5G excels, well outperforming the majority of its competitors.

Performance

When it comes to the Galaxy A34’s performance, it was generally easy sailing. There were no problems navigating the UI or accessing the web. The phone also appears to perform well at mobile gaming. I started with a few VampireSurvivors and had no problems. Then I moved on to more difficult games like Apex Legends and Riot’s Wild Rift.

To be sure, the A34’s Mediatek Dimensity 1080 chipset struggled with more demanding games, resulting in some frame dips in Apex Legends and a lower overall refresh rate in Wild Rift. However, both games were going well enough for me to have a good time (and take two major wins in both games… lol). Furthermore, you may always change the visuals to get your desired result.

It also helps that the entry-level Galaxy A34 5G comes with 6GB of RAM, which you can upgrade to 8GB for a little extra money.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G features three cameras on the back. The main camera has a 48MP sensor with an f1.8 lens, as well as a much better, wider, and upgraded OIS and VDIS compared to prior Galaxy A series handsets. This enables the A34 5G to shoot better low-light images and movies, as well as deal with blurring considerably more effectively.

Following that is an ultrawide 8MP camera with an f2.2 lens, followed by a 5MP macro camera with an f2.4 lens. At the front, we have a 13MP selfie camera that does a good job.

The main sensor takes photos with excellent clarity and sharpness. The dynamic range is also quite good, and the colors are vibrant. When given adequate light, a smartphone can snap some very amazing pictures.

The photographs captured throughout the night were also rather good. Yes, there were hints of Samsung’s software at work, but it wasn’t overly pushy or off-putting.

The level of detail in the selfies is also rather astounding. The images are occasionally oversharpened, but it doesn’t seem too bad. Skin tones are represented appropriately. The front-facing camera has a propensity to slightly overexpose the face.

We also appreciated how the A34 5G’s Portrait mode worked. Most of the time, edge recognition is accurate, although there is room for improvement with an OTA update.

The ultrawide camera may have been improved. Images captured with the ultrawide camera are not as crisp as those captured with the primary camera.

The front cameras can record videos in 4K at 30fps, while the rear cameras can record in 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 30 and 60fps.

Battery Life

The Galaxy A34 5G includes a 5000mAh battery, which is normal for most Samsung phones these days. With its power-efficient processor, it goes without saying that his big boy can easily last two days on daily use. In fact, if you use your phone rarely, it might go for much more.

Last Verdict

The Galaxy A34 5G is a significant advance over its predecessor, removing extraneous components and improving in precisely the right places to become a well-rounded phone for its price range. Its most notable features are without a doubt the incredibly long battery life and the extensive software support, which is uncommon in the mid-range market. In other words, if you’re looking for a phone that won’t break the bank but will last you three or four years, this is a wonderful option.
