Lava’s latest affordable smartphone, the Blaze 2, has been released in India. The smartphone is priced under Rs. 10,000 and will go on sale on April 18. The Lava Blaze 2 has a single edition with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and it supports the virtual extension of up to 5GB via its built-in storage. Design
When it comes to design and build quality, you get glass on the rear side for the first time, which is a first for the firm. The frame is composed of high-quality plastic.
In the rear left top, there is a triple camera arrangement with an LED light, and the Lava logo is seen below the back left.
It weighs 207 grams and measures 8.6 mm thick. The hand feel is excellent. Weight is also beneficial. It should not be overly hefty. At this pricing point, it’s excellent.
On the bottom, you’ll find a 3.5mm audio jack, a Type-C charging connector, a speaker grille, and a MIC hole.
On the right side, there is a fingerprint sensor and a power button, which is fairly decent for the price.
Volume up and down buttons, as well as a hybrid sim slot (which allows you to use one sim and one SD card at the same time), are located on the left side.
It is available in two hues. Glass Green and Glass Blue are also solid colors.
The item looks great, and the build quality is excellent.

Display
The display is a 6.5-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display offers a reasonable degree of brightness, making it legible even in direct sunlight, albeit it must be set to maximum. Furthermore, the viewing angles are very good. Colors are also fairly accurate for an IPS LCD display. If you plan on watching a lot of videos, you won’t be disappointed because the speaker is also fairly loud.
The bezels around the phone are fairly narrow, with the exception of the bottom chin, which can be overlooked given that it is an entry-level phone.

Performance
The Blaze 2, which is powered by the UniSoc T616 chipset, is hardly a show stopper, but it does the job. The CPU, when combined with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM, can get you through the day with little to no hitches, but if you want to game on this phone, please don’t, otherwise you’ll be disappointed.
The Blaze 2 runs Android 12 with a user experience that is similar to stock. Except for the Lava Care and Lava Guide applications, there is no bloatware. If you still enjoy listening to the radio, there is an FM Radio app available.
One fascinating aspect is the “Dynamic Island.” Yes, they didn’t even bother changing the name. However, unlike the iPhone’s Dyanic Island, the one on this phone is small. While it appears at all times, whether you plug in your phone to charge it, play music, or make a call, it is not as intuitive as the actual one. I appreciate the effort, albeit more could have gone into the name as well.
Camera
The Blaze 2 has a dual back camera system with a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, there is also an 8MP camera. According to our findings from the images we took, the image quality is mediocre at best.
While the camera takes pictures swiftly, they lack depth, color, and saturation. In good light, the performance is adequate, but in low light, it struggles. Fortunately, the camera offers a Night mode that adds light and details to low-light images. The camera app is packed with features, including Portrait, Night mode, panoramic, video, pro mode, slow motion, and more.

Battery
In terms of battery capacity, it contains a 5000 mAh Li-Pol battery.
There is 10W Type-C charging support, which takes 80 minutes to charge to 50% and 175 minutes to charge to 100%. The charging pace is quite slow, and it takes a long time to charge completely, but this is acceptable given the price.
Battery backup is excellent in everyday usage and multitasking; there will be no issues with battery backup. It provides 3.5 hours of battery backup if you regularly view YouTube videos.

Verdict
With its solid structure and luxurious feel, the Lava Blaze 2 is well worth the money. The Blaze 2 is a viable option for people searching for a low-cost gadget with adequate performance and photography skills.
